Engage with Zanzibar at 85th EAGE Annual 2024 in Oslo

The Zanzibar 1st Licensing Round team, led by the Honourable Shaaban Ali Othman, the Minister for Blue Economy and Fisheries of Zanzibar and his team; supported by key individuals from ZPRA are attending the 85th EAGE Annual set to unfold in the vibrant city of Oslo on 10th - 13th June 2024!

The Licensing Round team look forward to taking part as exhibitors and part of the programme to showcase the opportunities available through Zanzibar's 1st Licensing Round in the offshore Pemba-Zanzibar sub-basin is located along the East African coast, with the Lamu Basin to the north and the Mafia sub-basin to the south. Several exploration wells have encountered oil and gas, and numerous oil seeps across the archipelago point to a functioning petroleum system. This deepwater offshore basin is considered a frontier zone and remains largely unexplored, promising significant exploration potential.

Zanzibar Delegation & Presentation

The Zanzibar 1st Licensing Round delegation will include Honourable Shaaban Ali Othman - Minister for Blue Economy and Fisheries, Suleiman Makame Ali - Member of the Tourism, Business and Agriculture Committee of the House of Representatives of Zanzibar, Adam Makame - Managing Director, ZPRA, Mikidadi Alli Rashid - Managing Director, ZPDC, Mwadini Juma Khatib - Director HSE, ZPRA and Abdulmalik Omar Ali - Upstream Operations Manager, ZPDC.

The Zanzibar Licensing Round Presentation will take place in the IPC Theatre, 12th June 2024, from 10:55 to 11:15 local time.
